EAGLE, Idaho (KBOI) — At KBOI we know that adventure begins with weather and this week's Idaho Adventure is perfect for this time of year.
A perfect time for shredding down the bike-optimized trails at the Ada/Eagle Sports Complex.
They’re unlike many mountain bike trails you've ever been on before.
"The Valley has an amazing foothills trail system but the Ada/Eagle Sports Complex is the only place that you can find these bike-optimized trails," said Steve Noyes, Trails Coordinator for the City of Eagle.
The complex has miles of bike trails to shred down and jump across.
"We have probably 8+ miles of one way only, mountain bike only, downhill only, trails, and that is something that you just don't find in this valley, and a lot of places in the country," said Noyes.
Trails recently built give mountain bikers of all skill levels a chance at the park.
From the beginners out on the pump track, to experts shredding double black diamonds, there's something here for every adventurer.
"It's just a great location and I love coming here, I bring my kids here and we can all ride together," said Teresa Roundy, Garden City, ID.
The Bledsoe’s came down from Bear, ID just for the park. “Yeah, we're having a ball, we came in yesterday, drove down specifically to spend time here, my boys found some YouTube channels and they were like, 'dad, we got to check this out!'" said D.R.
Beginners start on the pump track to build confidence.
"It's a great way for anyone to get used to going up and down, left to right, and harnessing in to the kinetic energy you find in those obstacles," said Noyes.
And then head out to the world class mountain bike trails.
In addition to mountain bike trails the park also features a BMX track, skate park, and inline hockey rink.
The complex is open sunup to sundown, more information can be found here.
